WAVE allows you to perform Scan and Search operations on your scanner under control of your Macintosh computer.
Channel logs may be created or viewed using WAVE or any text processor or spreadsheet program that can save in TEXT format. Multiple Logs can be visible on the screen at the same time with any number of these Active. Active Logs are executed in round-robin. Each Window is associated with a Log. The Log contains the Window’s Control settings and the Channels that have been found by a Search or entered manually (or entered via another program).
In each Window you specify Search Limits, Search Steps, Delay Mode, Demodulation, Store Options (Frequency, CTCSS, DCS, DTMF) delay and Skip Options and View and Edit Log Data. Searching is performed either between limits or relative to a Log entry. Scanning is performed on the Log where individual entries can be Locked Out. The radio can also be set manually to a Log entry. Bothersome frequencies can be marked to be skip in search mode.
A Chronology of all contacts can be recorded, a tape recorder can be controlled and the radio speaker can be muted. A Speech option produces a spoken indication, through the Macintosh speaker, of frequency and/or time.
A Radio Display Window floats above all the Log Windows and contains the Remote/Local status, Frequency, Demodulation, CTCSS, DCS, DTMF and squelch Status of the last signal received.
